EPISODE 24
Elvis Presley: Death in Graceland
On the afternoon of Monday, August 15th, Elvis Presley woke at 4pm and spent the evening playing with his daughter Lisa Marie, and watching TV. Later that night he would leave Graceland at 11pm to visit his dentist and would return home a couple of hours later at 1230am.
Before going to sleep around 6am, Elvis would take a handful of painkillers prescribed by his doctor. It included a lethal cocktail mix of sleeping pills and an assortment of other depressants. Later that morning at 930am, still unable to sleep, Elvis would take several more pills and he would head to the bathroom carrying Frank Adams’ book, The Scientific Search for the Face of Jesus.
Just a few hours later, Ginger Alden would discover Elvis unconscious on the bathroom floor in a pool of vomit. Sadly, at 330pm, Elvis Presley would be pronounced dead at the age of 42 at Baptist Medical Center in Memphis.
