On August 5, 1962,  just shortly after midnight, the lifeless body of the Marilyn was discovered by her housekeeper. She was found nude, lying face down, with one hand clutching her phone and pills scattered across the bedroom floor.

It was less than 3 months after her famous sultry performance of “Happy Birthday” at President John F Kennedy’s 45th birthday on 19 May 1962.

An autopsy would later reveal a fatal amount of sedatives in Marilyn’s system, and her death was ruled probable suicide. However, over the years many have speculated the deadly cocktail was possibly administered by someone else, and she may have been murdered.
